Rose water has many uses in health and beauty. Here are 10 Uses for Rose Water that you can use in your own beauty routine.

Many people have heard about rose water before, but few people are actually aware of all this product has to offer. Rose water is more than just a pretty name, it is a purposeful health and beauty product you will want to be sure you have in your cabinets. Take a look below at 10 uses for rose water that you can try, all of which can help you look your best. Here is how you can get started using rose water in your own beauty routine.

1. Tone your skin.
You can use rose water in place of most skin toners. It will do the same job for a fraction of the cost, and it feels really refreshing. So skip the pricey toners and give rose water a try instead.

2. Treat sunburn.
Did you spend too much time in the sun? Add a little rose water into your moisturizer to help cool and soothe skin. If you wish, you can soak some basil leaves in the rose water for a few hours then apply the solution to your burns as well.

3. Lighten dark spots.
If you have dark spots on your skin due to age or sun exposure, rose water can help soften the appearance. Just dab a few drops on the dark spots each night before bed. This method works on old acne scars too!

4. Boost your face mask.
You can add a few drops of rose water to your weekly facial mask to make your skin feel toned, refreshed, and renewed. Rose water can turn a cheap face mask into something fabulous! You can also add a few drops to scrubs and bath soaps for a boost.

5. Make your own hair mask.
Mix two tablespoons of olive oil with 4 tablespoons of rose water. Mix and apply to the hair from root to tip. Allow the mixture to stay on the hair for 15-20 minutes and then rinse for a brilliant shine and conditioned hair.

6. Give your hair a rose water rinse.
Rinse hair after shampooing with rose water. It will help clean and tone the scalp which leads to healthier hair and an overall fresh feeling.

7. Give your bath a boost.
A little rose water added to your bathwater can help soothe skin irritation, tone skin, and even help you to relax. Place some in a fancy bottle and keep it on the vanity for easy reach.

8. Lessen under eye circles.
Dab a little rose water under the eyes to reduce the appearance of circles and reduce puffiness. Plus you don’t have to worry about eye irritation.

9. Scent your sheets.
Put some rose water in a spray bottle and mist it on your sheets. The linens will take on the light and fresh scent of the water and you could actually enjoy a more peaceful slumber.

10. Enhance your beverages.
Add a teaspoon of rose water to lemonade, fruit juices, or teas. See if you care for the flavor and if so, add more!

You can find a bottle of rose water at any health and beauty store, but you can also make your own Rose Water using chemical free rose petals from your yard. As you can see from the list above, you have many choices when it comes to utilizing rose water. Give these 10 uses for rose water a try and see if you are a fan.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
