Next week is teacher appreciation week which means it is time to honor the teachers in our lives. They devote their time, energy, and talents to educating our children, so we can take a little time to show our appreciation.

Most can be made with common household items. There are links to printables that will make these gifts even easier to make. In fact, these teacher appreciation gift ideas are so easy to make, you children can make a gift for their teacher with very little help from you.

My Teacher is “AW-esome”! Free Printable and gift idea

1. My Teacher is “AW-esome”! Go here to find an easy printable template. Just add root beer! :-)

2. I just love brand new markers myself, and I am sure any teacher would too! There is a free printable that reads “Thank you for coloring our lives and making us Sharpies” from Design, Wash, Rinse Repeat.

3. Give your teacher their favorite donut with a note that says “Donut you know how much we appreciate you?”

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
