Canning jars have practical uses all around your home. Here are 5 Creative Uses for Canning Jars in the Bathroom to organize and beautify your bathroom.

You may already use canning jars by the dozen in your kitchen, but did you know they are great for use in the bathroom as well? If you love canning jars, take a peek below at 5 creative uses for canning jars in the bathroom. You will find that they can help you stay organized in a way that is still stylish and fun. Here is how you can get started!

5 Creative Uses for Canning Jars in the Bathroom

1. Display your bath salts.
Fill canning jars with assorted bath salts and scrubs. They will not only stay safe and be at your fingertips, but they look quite decorative as well. You can make your own salts and scrubs, or buy store made ones and just transfer them into the jars. The more colorful the better, and adding miniature spoons is a fun extra touch.

2. Make your own luminaries.
Do you love to take relaxing baths by candle light? Place a little sand in the bottom of a canning jar and then place a votive or tea light candle it in. The flame will reflect on the glass and the whole room will light up! It is a wonderful way to add some instant ambiance. If you want, you can even use battery operated votives.

3. Keep cotton balls safe.
Canning jars are perfect for keeping your cotton balls and cotton swabs safe. You can even leave the jars on the counter and they look decorative. Plus, they will always stay dry. While you are at it, fill one with make up remover pads too. For an extra decorative touch, you can place labels on the front.

4. Organize your hair ties.
Keep your hair bands and barrettes safely stored in a canning jar. Some are even large enough to stash away travel size toiletries such as shampoo and hair spray. The clear glass will make it easy to see what’s inside so you can dig out exactly what you need. You can even give each family member their own jar for safe keeping complete with a decorative label.

5. Make mini trash cans.
Keep a canning jar on the bathroom counter for make up remover pads, tissues, and other small trash items. While taking off make up or doing a facial they are perfect for tucking small pieces away. When done, just empty and rinse and you are ready to go again.

Give these 5 uses for canning jars in the bathroom a try and see how practical they can be. They are such a frugal yet stylish way to organize your space.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
