Here are 7 Frugal Ways to Glam Up Your Fall Wardrobe no matter what your budget may be. As the weather turns cooler, you don’t have to be stuck wearing just your jeans and hoodie. You can create some great ensembles that are frugal and totally gorgeous to make you feel like you have a whole new fall wardrobe.

7 Frugal Ways To Glam Up Your Fall Wardrobe

Use boot cuffs. These little pieces of scrap fabric and lace have become one of our favorite ways t0 glam up your fall wardrobe. If new boots aren’t in your budget, you can pick up 2-3 sets of boot cuffs for under $10 on many online deal sites or even your local retail store. You can also use these free patterns to crochet boot cuffs or knit boot cuffs by hand.

Add inexpensive scarfs. A scarf can turn a solid long sleeve tee from boring to fabulous in seconds. Find infinity scarves in multiple patterns and solid colors for as low as $3-$4 each on Amazon. Here is a list of inexpensive fall scarves. A handful of scarves can be used to create simple loop styles, as well as things like a head covering, turban style or layered over a vest or jacket.

Wear more layers. Layers are the key to updating your fall wardrobe. A simple white button down shirt can be the base of a super cute outfit with skinny jeans, a sweater vest, and scarf or blazer. When you think what you have is too boring, simply start adding different textures and colors to create a fun new layered look.

Wear chunky bracelets, cuffs, and necklaces. Cuff bracelets, large necklaces, and big earrings really bring a look together. Cuff bracelets and layered silver and turquoise jewelry really glam up your fall wardrobe with ease.

Shop resale and vintage thrift shops. If you want to add things like simple leather pieces like bags, vests, or jackets this is the way to shop. Faux fur is also an excellent way to make jeans and a long sleeved tee look glamorous and upscale. Head to your local vintage resale shop to look for special pieces.

Add a great hat. Hats are an amazing accessory that work great in your fall wardrobe. Whether you go with a super fun crocheted beanie that you made for yourself, or you pick up a fedora or beret you can easily create a fun upscale look with a great hat. Hats serve dual purposes for protecting your head from the outside elements while giving you a great fashion statement.

Layer summer items with leggings. Summer tunics and dresses can easily be upgraded to fall pieces with the addition of some fun fleece lined leggings. Leggings, a great pair of boots, and your favorite long tunic shirt or a summer dress with a cardigan can create a super fun look that is inexpensive.

These frugal ways to glam up your fall wardrobe are perfect for stretching your dollar this year while giving you a great new look. Fall brings about the best time of year to add fun flannel layers to your look, right alongside fun pieces of lace and a string of pearls.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
