We all know how it feels when we need to make cuts in our budget. Sometimes when looking at the big picture it can be hard to see how we can save without feeling like we are missing out. When we look at it in smaller chunks we can make simple changes that will add up to a big savings.

Ditch the coffee shop. By making your favorite coffee drinks at home you can save a lot of money in a short time. The average Starbucks drink costs between $3 and $5 so skipping just twice a week can save you at least $10.
Drive less. Buy a bike or walk to nearby locations. Not only are you saving money on gas and car repairs you are improving your health which is further savings. Going too far to walk? Bus fare is cheaper than gas when you have a bit of time to spare.
Give coupons a try. Shopping sales with coupons can save you hundreds of dollars a month. Set a goal to cut your grocery budget by using coupons and move your savings to your savings account to pad your piggy bank without feeling a hit. You can also use great coupon apps on your phone to get coupon deals without having to do any clipping or even buy a paper.
Track your bills, remove unused services and pay before they are due or sign up for auto pay. Late fees add up fast and by eliminating them you make your life easier. Some companies will even offer you a discount for auto draft. When using auto draft for bills keep track of when things will come out to avoid bank fees that will work against you.
Pack a lunch instead of eating out. Those leftovers from last night seem much more appealing when you think about how much money you are saving. By cutting out that $5 fast food lunch you save $10 every day just by bringing leftovers from the fridge for lunch.
Do a home energy audit to see where you can lower your utility bills. Call your Power company and check of they have a free energy audit program or any other great savings options to help you out a little bit.
Automate savings through your bank. Do you get cash back for ATM fees? Interest on your account? Set up for that extra money to go right into your savings. You wont even miss it.
