diy gift ideas for girls that are easy to make

Are you trying to make more homemade gifts this year? If you have a little girl on your Christmas list, here are DIY gift ideas for girls to help inspire you.
diy gift ideas for girls that are easy to make

My daughter received so many homemade gifts growing up. I sewed dress up clothes for her and clothing and accessories for her dolls. It was easy to come up with ideas based on her current interests. To save money, I would buy gowns from the thrift store and then cut the pattern pieces from the dress fabric. While you are at the thrift store, look to see if they have any patterns for doll clothing or stuffed animals.

Over the years, I have also assembled some semi-handmade gifts for my daughter like creating a sewing basket. I simply added thread, needles, pins, a pin cushion, sewing scissors, a thimble, and several fat quarters to a basket.

If you don’t want to make a handmade gift, but you are looking for something that will inspire creativity consider buying or assembling a beading kit. I like the kits for beginners that include the tools, wire, and clasps, as well as beads, so the recipient has everything they need to get started right away. A knitting basket would also be a nice gift. You could put several colors of yarn in a basket, with some knitting needles, and a few beginner patterns.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
