7 Ways to Plan Your New Year's Resolutions- Developing a plan for your New Year's resolutions will help you reach success. Get started with these 7 methods.

Do you have New Year’s resolutions in mind, but aren’t sure how to turn them into a solid plan? Take a look below at 7 Ways to Plan Your New Year’s Resolutions. Sometimes, the plan is the hardest part, so creating a solid one is the perfect way to start the New Year. Here is how you can get started planning your resolutions so you can be sure they last!

7 Ways to Plan Your New Year’s Resolutions

1. Create a journal.
Go to your local bookstore and find a decorative journal that appeals to you. It will be a wonderful space to write down your resolutions as well as the steps you plan on taking to make sure they stick.

2. Try a vision board.
Get a piece of poster board and create a vision board. On the board you can write your goals for the New Year as well as add pictures, quotes, and other inspirational items. Reflect on the board daily to stay on track.

3. Gather a group of friends.
Gather a group of friends that share similar goals and resolutions. Talk about what you want to achieve in the New Year and offer each other support, solutions, and a sounding board to bounce ideas off of.

4. Make a checklist.
If you need a simpler approach, a checklist is a great way to plan your resolutions. Simply jot them down in list format and check off the one you wish to work on that day or week.

5. Make a resolutions video.
Record yourself talking about your resolutions for the New Year. Save the video to your computer. You can watch it when you need a reminder or boost, and don’t forget to watch it a year later so you can see how far you have come.

6. Write a letter to yourself.
Sit down and write a letter to yourself. Tell yourself all that you wish you could accomplish that year and lay out the steps you want to take to see your dreams and resolutions happen. Tuck the letter away for easy reference.

7. Make it a family event.
Gather your family to talk about resolutions you can tackle as a group. Make a poster board of these ideas and keep them in a common meeting place where you can easily refer to them. Support each other through the year as you work towards your goals.

Use these 7 Ways to Plan Your New Year’s Resolutions so you can make sure you lay out a plan that is feasible and brings you closer to the success you wish for yourself in the New Year

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
