DIY Jewelry Stand - This simple DIY Jewelry Stand made with a tile and cabinet fixtures is perfect for keeping track of your jewelry in the kitchen.

I cook and bake a lot and so does my husband. It seems one of us is always taking our ring or watch off and leaving it on the kitchen counter while baking or cleaning.  This DIY Jewelry Stand is a fun addition to my kitchen decor and a great way to keep track of our jewelry when we are working in the kitchen. I love that it isn’t too feminine, so it works great for my husband’s things too! I’m going to be making one for the bathroom as well, since I am always finding someone’s jewelry on the counter there too.

Supplies:

  • 1 piece of tile (you could also use reclaimed wood or any number of hard surface materials)
  • 1 knob
  • 1 cup pull
  • Krazy Glue
  • Wooden or iron easel

I found the tile and hardware at our local Habitat Restore, and many thrift shops have similar items.

Instructions:

Begin by making sure all surfaces are clean and free of dust. This will insure your glue will adhere properly.

Next measure out where you want the knob and cup pull to be placed. Mark it lightly with a pen or pencil.

If you are using wood, the knob and pull can be attached with screws as they would be to a cabinet door or drawer.  If you are using tile or another type of surface, simply attach the knob and pull with Krazy Glue or another type of adhesive.  Make sure to apply only a small amount.  Work quickly to get the hardware into place and then allow plenty of time for it to dry.

Once the knob and cup pull are in place allow maximum drying time according to the adhesive manufacturer’s recommendations.

When the glue has completely dried, stand the easel up and set your new jewelry stand in place.

The knob is great for hanging bracelets and watches and the cup pull is perfect for rings and earrings when installed upside down.  This jewelry stand is a stylish addition to the kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom and will help keep you from misplacing jewelry!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
