These Easter favors filled with Peeps candy and topped with a “He is Risen – Tell Your Peeps” goodie bag toppers are perfect for Sunday school and Easter parties!

Create Easter peep bags with printable toppers - a fun gift for kids with a great message - He is Risen!

This Easter favor is based on Matthew 28:6 and filled with Peeps candy.

“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Matthew 28:6 NKJV

The goodie bags are a fun reminder of the reason we celebrate Easter: He is Risen! They make a cute party favor for Easter parties or a sweet gift to give out at Sunday school classes.

There is a “from” printed on the back, so you or your child can sign it.  Click here for the printable pdf of the Easter Peeps Goodie Bag Topper. There are 2 toppers per printed page.

How to Make Easter Peeps Goodie Bags

Supplies:

  • Printer paper (cardstock is best)
  • Paper trimmer or scissors
  • 4.5 – 4.75 inch wide snack size sandwich bags (I found some at Walmart)
  • Blue Peeps (I put 3 Peeps in each bag)
  • Tell Your Peeps Easter Favor Bag topper PDF

Directions:

  1. Printout as many of the toppers as you need.
  2. I used a paper trimmer to trim the toppers. Paper trimmers will give the best cut, but scissors would also work if you don’t have a paper trimmer.
  3. Fold the printables in half. If you use super heavy card stock, you may want to use a scoring blade to score them in the center. Scoring may not be necessary but it does make a much cleaner fold.
  4. Fill the snack bags with Peeps and attach the toppers to the bags with two staples per topper.

The topper is shown here on a goodie bag filled with Blue Peeps:

You can use sandwich bags and fold in the sides so they fit under the topper.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
