How to Make a Father’s Day Tie Garland Using Paint Chips
Items Needed:
Assorted paint sample cards. Choose the multicolored in colors he will like. We opted for assorted blue shades.
Scissors
Pencil
Tape or glue
Yarn, ribbon, or twine
You can find the paint swatches at your local hardware store or Walmart store. You only need a few as you can get two cut outs from each strip.
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting the tie shape out of your strips. We did ours by freehand, creating a triangle that then lead into a diamond shape. Try the shape on paper first to make a stencil if you wish.
2. Once you have a good shape, trace it onto the other strips so your ties can be uniform.
3. Continue tracing and cutting out the tie shapes until you have enough for your banner. Use an assortment of shades for lots of color.
4. After your shapes are cut out, apply some tape or glue to the back and attach them to your ribbon or twine.
Now all you need to do is hang your Father’s Day tie garland from your entryway or even dinner table. Dad will be thrilled when he sees it and you will love how easy and inexpensive it is to craft!
Gather your supplies and give this cute craft a try. It is a great way to get into the Father’s Day spirit!
