One of the best ways to avoid the holiday rush in person is to shop online. The biggest retailer for this is Amazon. You can get just about anything on Amazon. I can’t even tell you how many random things I thought I would never find anywhere that I got on Amazon! Around the holidays, Amazon is booming with amazing deals. These deals move so fast that you may be left wondering just how you will know when the best one comes along and when to jump on a deal or even how to find the best deals on Amazon. If you are trying to get the best deals online, here are some tips on how to get the best deals on Amazon this holiday season so you can maximize your savings!
How to Get the Best Deals on Amazon this Holiday Season
Shop on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Since Amazon has so much to offer, they do both Black Friday Deals and Cyber Monday Sales and offer many deals throughout the post-Thanksgiving weekend. Shopping during this time is one of your best bets.
Sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. If you haven’t already, now is the time to sign up for Amazon Prime! You can try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial. You will get free two day shipping in Amazon products and that could really save you a lot on your Christmas gift list.
Make sure to look for bargains in the “hidden” areas of Amazon. There are some areas of Amazon such as the Warehouse, where you can get open-box deals. These items are simply working returns that can’t be sold as new because they have a box that is open or they are missing the box.
Check out the Upcoming deals section of Amazon. This is a great way to stay afloat to what is going on sale soon in the next couple of hours or days. It lists stuff from both Amazon warehouse and 3rd party sellers.
Check out the Lightning Deals section. The Lightning Deals section of Amazon is sort of like the Upcoming deals section except for Lightning deals generally only allow for one item per customer and they are very time sensitive, sometimes just an hour long.
Add items to your cart, but don’t buy. If you can’t find a deal on an item you want, try adding it to your cart. You will be able to sit on them and see if the price goes down. Amazon will alert you when the price has gone down or sometimes, if you are lucky, they will ask you a couple days later if you want a small discount to encourage you to buy a particular item.
Price match on certain items. Did you know Amazon allows for price matching on items such as TVs and other big electronics? If the item is advertised elsewhere like Walmart, for instance, at a lower price for a same item, you can get it for that price. Just contact customer service and see if the item is available for price matching. Items must be Amazon shipped warehouse items, though, and not 3rd party sellers.
Get a refund. In the same way price matching works, if you buy an item for more, and a price drop happens on Amazon for the same item within 7 days of purchase, let customer service know. They will refund you the difference if it’s an Amazon shipped item.
