How to Get Free Christmas Gifts- Cash in on store promos and coupon bargains to get Christmas gifts for free this year. These tips will show you how!

Black Friday is one shopping day of the year where folks try to get the best deals out there and hope to get things for practically free. If you have a long list of people to shop for, trying to get the most out of your budget is a necessity. What if you could get some of the gifts you would normally buy for free, though? It almost sounds too good to be true, but if you follow these steps you could have some now and keep them coming throughout the year. You can even save them in your gift closet so that next year you will have lots to gift! Here are some tips on How to Get Free Christmas gifts!

How to Get Free Christmas Gifts

Check every single package of food for mail in freebies. It used to be that people sent off for these things all the time, but it is kind of a lost practice. Get into the habit though, and you could get free movies, movie tickets, gift cards, bakeware, and more! If the products are already things you buy, why not send off for these free items that often only require to pay for shipping?

Get grocery store freebies. Do you ever notice that grocery stores are starting to come back with the dishes, bakeware, and cookware sets that they used to have as promos? A couple of years ago, I got a few pieces of the Rachel Ray cookware set for free at my local Albertson’s just for saving the stamps after purchases. These would make excellent gifts for someone who loves to cook! The good news is, they usually have these huge promos around the holidays so you could get it in time.

Check for coupons in circulars. With so many stores in heavy competition, they are bound to offer some pretty amazing coupons or freebies to entice you to come in to shop. Look for coupons like $10 off a purchase of $10 or more and you could end up with something free. Additionally, some stores offer free items with purchase, such as a free hat and gloves set with the purchase of a coat. Turn one gift into two by using this strategy.

Sign up for newsletters and emails from your favorite online and brick and mortar stores. I get regular emails offering free items with and without purchase and amazing coupons to use. For example, Bath and Body Works offers free products with no purchase necessary coupons all the time. They regularly send me $10 and $20 off coupons. Make sure you also take these emails out of spam the first couple of times so they start going in your inbox. You wouldn’t want to miss one!

Join Swagbucks. With Swagbucks, you can get points that allow you to “purchase” free gift cards for places like Amazon. Getting points is as easy as searching online for things.

Use loyalty points at your favorite pharmacy. I love that Walgreens now offers Everyday Points. That means I can get points just for buying most things there. I also have other pharmacy points from other major retailers and I save them up and use them to get free things I give as gifts.

Turn your old gift cards into cash to spend on gifts. If you have any gift cards with small amounts or ones you don’t really plan on spending, take them and cash them in for money to get free Christmas gifts.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
