Supplies needed for Missing Sock Magic: DIY Sock Sorter

Directions:
1. Begin by painting your wood plaque. This is an optional step. We gave ours two coats of white glossy paint but you can leave yours natural if you wish.
2. Next, once the paint is dry apply the chalkboard label. This is where you will write “socks” or even the name of the person whose socks go on that display. You can make each family member their own if you want!

3. Now, glue a length of wire ribbon to the plaque. Press into the wood until the glue is dry and the piece is secure.

4. You can now decorate your clothespins if you wish. We sprayed ours with more white spray paint. We also took some scrapbook paper and glued strips to the pins. This just makes them a little more decorative. Once the clothespins are decorated, attach them to the ribbon.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
