Easy Holiday or New Years Party Idea using Plaid Products from Target: Plaid Tablescape Idea

Easy Holiday or New Years Party Idea using Plaid Products from Target: Plaid Tablescape Idea

Plaid Tablescape Idea {Budget-Friendly Holiday Tablescape}

It’s hard to believe that I was just talking about decorating for Fall with my cute white owl plates. And now, it’s time to wrap up the year.

With Christmas only a few weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about how will you bring in the New Year? Big party? Low-key event? After pulling off a big Christmas with my Winter Wonderland Tablescape, I like to have a quiet New Years Eve and Day celebration.

One of the current trends this year was all about plaid. And of course, Target carried almost everything plaid. Recently I raided the Dollar Spot to put together this New Year or Holiday Inspired Tablescape.

You can find these products at your local Target store and recreate this idea for under $20 bucks.

Let’s get started by gathering our supplies. As you can see, I am using mostly paper products. Quick and easy, right?!

I picked up the paper napkins, plates, chalkboard covers and tablecloth from Target. Target also has the gold glitter Christmas cones. I am using my silverware, glasses and napkins.

First, I laid down the plaid plastic tablecloth across the table. I placed the two gold glitter Christmas cones in the center of the table.

For each place setting, I laid down the chalkboard charger, followed by the gold paper plate, and then put the small square plaid dessert (or appetizer) plate on top.

I added the silverware to each place setting, followed by the glassware. I slipped creme with gold trim cloth napkins in between the plates and chargers.

For a little fun, I clipped on a little plaid reindeer to each napkin. You can find these at Target in the dollar section as well!

I added a Gold Coffee Pitcher and Mugs towards the end of the table for a little extra pizazz.

And that’s it. A simple holiday tablescape idea or New Years party idea. You can head to your local Target store and raid the Dollar Spot to find all of the necessary items. (FYI: Some of the plaid products were found in the tableware section of the store).

How do you plan to celebrate this New Years Eve?

Regardless of how you celebrate, have fun and I wish you the best in 2016!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
