Tips for Making Sunday Mornings Less Hectic for Church- Are your Sunday mornings chaotic? Enjoy more relaxed and organized mornings with these tips.

Sunday mornings are hectic in many homes. Waking up and getting everyone dressed and out the door in time for mass is a large task. Why is it so hectic and what can be done about it? You no longer have to be stuck in that rut where things are crazy. Say goodbye to the yelling and stress because it is not worth it. Use these Tips for Making Sunday Mornings Less Hectic for Church and you will be on your way to more relaxed and enjoyable mornings.

Tips for Making Sunday Mornings Less Hectic for Church

Lay out clothes the night before. One thing you can do to make Sunday mornings a lot easier is to actually lay out the clothes for everyone the night before. Most of the stress for Sunday mornings are because no one can find their clothes. You wouldn’t believe how much stress this eliminates. This includes laying out church clothes for mom and dad as well.

Get yourself ready first. I don’t know how much stress I have created by waiting until the last minute to get myself dressed. I start by getting myself ready and I have noticed that Sunday mornings are a lot less stressful. Sometimes moms wait until the last minute for themselves and it is more harmful than good.

Make breakfast super easy. Another time consuming thing on Sunday mornings is breakfast. While I dream of making an amazing meal, this doesn’t always happen. I have learned that Sunday mornings just are not worth the stress. I have saved my sanity a lot by making breakfast super easy on myself. Sometimes my family has donuts from the store and I’m okay with that. If you don’t want your kids to have all of that sugar, then you definitely need to check out Alea’s cookbook called Prep Ahead Meals Made From Scratch! That will help you get prepped for those morning meals.

Have dad get the kids ready. Seriously, if Sunday mornings are that stressful to you, then you need to let dad get the kids ready. It’s not possible to do everything as the mom, which is why you need to let dad do some of those tasks. It’s not worth being all stressed out over getting the kids ready, just to have a little control. It’s so worth it to just have dad get the kids ready.

Wake up earlier on Sundays. On Sundays, it may seem like everyone is waking up early enough already. However, it is possible for you to wake up even earlier on Sundays. Maybe the kids don’t need to wake up early, but it would help you out if you did. With all of this being said, it would even make sense to leave a few minutes early if this helps keep the stress level down on Sundays.

Stress is no fun, especially when you’re a mom. Take a deep breath, you’ll get through this Sunday and every other Sunday, you just need to keep these tips in mind. What tips would you add?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
