These paper plate bats are a cute and easy craft to make with kids in preparation for Halloween. Use chalk to create fangs or any face of your choice then stick them up in windows or hang from a string for decoration.

This Paper Plate Bat Craft is a fun activity to do with kids this Halloween. The tutorial is so simple you could make a few bats and hang them to decorate!

Bats are pretty fascinating creatures. One night this past summer, my husband and I watched as one kept dive-bombing a street light trying to catch it’s dinner. It was fun to watch him hunt while we watched a meteor shower that night. With Halloween coming, many people think of bats as a symbol of the holiday along with pumpkins, ghosts, and skeletons. This fun little Paper Plate Bat Craft would be a cute activity to do with younger kids this season.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
