Make these Wine Cork Heart Stamps with your kids and let them have fun creating Valentine’s Day cards.

Heart-shaped ink stamps made from wine corks.

If you have a few wine corks sitting around, you are well on your way to making these adorable Valentine’s Day heart stamps. You can repurpose your own wine corks into Valentine’s Day stamps just like you see here, with just a few supplies and few simple steps. Kids will love stamping the tiny hearts all over cards and craft projects, and you will love how cheap and easy these stamps where to create. Here is how you can get started making your own set.

Repurposed Wine Cork Valentine’s Day Stamps

Supplies needed:

  • Wine corks
  • Foam hearts
  • Hot glue, glue gun

We found the foam hearts used for this project at our local dollar store. Most dollar stores as well as craft stores will have something similar you can use.

Directions:
1. Begin by adding a dab of glue to the back of the small foam heart, press it to the top of the wine cork.

2. Repeat this step adding one or two more hearts directly on top of the first. You want to layer them so they are raised up from the wine cork.

Note: For ours we used the smallest hearts in the bag. You can try using various sizes so you can get varying sizes of stamps. Just apply the hearts as we did here, using a little more glue.

3. Mix and match hearts to create the stamper portion of the stamp. Once your glue is dry, your stamps are ready to use. Be patient, because if you try to use them too soon the hearts will slide right off.

4. Press your wine corks into a stamp pad or paint and press to paper. Lift and you will see the heart imprint take shape.

Repurposed Wine Cork Valentine's Day Stamps

These repurposed wine cork Valentine’s Day stamps are perfect for decorating valentines and cards, or  just for some craft time with your child. Either way, give them a try and see how fun a few wine corks can be!

What a wonderful idea! I have so many old corks in a kitchen drawer, I might as well give them to my kids to make stamps like these!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
