How to Make a Yarn Octopus

If you are looking for a fun and simple summer themed craft this cute little yarn octopus is just the thing,  a few items from your craft stash and you will be on your way to making 1 or a whole army of them.  It is a great craft to fill up some time when its just too hot to be outside as well as build some fine motor muscles up in those hands-  Make them in your favorite colors- they are great as a party decoration, a craft for an ocean unit study, or  just as a toy for little ones (not under 3 years).  My kids couldn’t wait to run off with these guys, and added them to their stuffed collection right away. I am working out a whole zoo in my head of these fun little yarn friends.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
