Easy & Delicious Broiled Asparagus with Parmesan

Fresh asparagus is one of the highlights of spring! Usually, you can find it on sale from February through early summertime, and that’s also the best time to add it to your dinner menus. Look for thinner, uniform-sized stalks, because that will help them cook quickly and evenly. If you’ve only had mushy, overcooked asparagus in the past, this broiled version will give you a new appreciation altogether. It’s nice enough to serve dinner guests and quick enough for busy weeknights.

Broiling asparagus is one of the best ways to prepare it. The goal is to end up with a perfectly tender, but still crisp, texture, and that means a very brief visit with high heat. Broiling also gives it a slight char on the edges, which goes perfectly with the light sprinkling of Parmesan in this recipe. The entire process takes just 15 minutes from start to finish, making it an easy side dish and one you’ll want to have on repeat throughout the season.
