These delicious variations on Arnold Palmers were created as part of a sponsored post for Lipton Tea.

Do you like the Arnold Palmer Drink Recipe of half iced tea and half lemonade? Then you will love these Delicious Variations on Arnold Palmers!

I fell in love with tea as a child when a neighbor introduced me to Arnold Palmers: half iced tea, half lemonade. The lemonade sweetened the tea without making it too sweet and the tea cut the sugar in the lemonade.

Iced Tea is now my beverage of choice whenever I sit down to eat. I drink iced tea year round with my meals – even in the middle of winter. It is light and refreshing and I feel the mellow flavor enhances the meal. Most of the time I take my tea black. However, every summer I crave an Arnold Palmer.

I realized recently that I have never introduced my kids to Arnold Palmers. My oldest child is 26, so I was a bit overdue!

We grilled teriyaki chicken last weekend, and I decided that the bright flavor of Arnold Palmers would be the perfect drink to go with our meal. As I was planning the meal, I thought about my kids’ favorite flavors of lemonades. I decided to reimagine Arnold Palmers using some of their favorite drinks.

I created an Arnold Palmer Drink Bar, so everybody could make their own custom Arnold Palmer. The bright colors of the lemons, limes, and strawberries added a festive touch to the barbecue.

Quick and Easy Way to Brew Iced Tea

I prefer to quickly brew my iced tea. I love the mellow flavor of tea steeped for several minutes in boiling hot water, so that is the method I use to make iced tea. I start with 6 individual cup size Lipton Black Tea bags.

Making a pitcher of ice-tea with individual tea bags.

Pour 2 quarts (8 cups) of boiling hot water over the tea bags and allow the tea to steep for 3 – 4 minutes.

Allow the tea to steep for 3 - 4 minutes

Squeeze the excess liquid out of tea bags before removing them from the pitcher. Then add 6 cups of ice to the tea.

More Variations on Arnold Palmers:

As we were sitting around sipping our tea my daughter suggested that next time we add mint leaves to the Lime Arnold Palmer to make a Mojito-flavored Arnold Palmer. I think using Lavender Lemonade to make a Lavender Arnold Palmer would be a delicious combination. What flavors would you combine to make your reimagined Arnold Palmer recipe? You can find more inspiration for your next gathering from Lipton Bright Bites.

    Great ideas!

I’m a little late to the game, but I first heard about Arnold palmers this past winter, when we were vacationing down in Florida. (We’re Canadian…that’s my excuse.)?
I also work for a Children’s Charity, and was thinking about introducing your ideas into a few snack times. (Maybe use decaf tea?)

Anyhow, thanks so much for sharing another one of your creative ideas!

    Cheers,
    Sara ?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
