Learn how to freeze cranberries to enjoy all year in these 15 cranberry recipes.

Check out these delicious cranberry recipes, including salads, desserts, and side dishes. You will also learn how to freeze cranberries to enjoy all year.

I wish I remembered how great cranberries tasted the rest of the year. Are you like me and seem to only remember these little gems around the holidays? I absolutely love the bitterness and deliciousness of a cranberry. The only way I seem to get them in during the rest of the year is in juice form. Since this is the time of year when cranberries go on sale, why not buy a lot and freeze them? They are super easy to freeze and can be thawed out for recipes throughout the year. Here are some tips on How to Freeze Cranberries and 15 Cranberry Recipes to use them in.

How to Freeze Cranberries

Freezing cranberries is as simple as freezing other types of berries. Rinse the cranberries, and place them on a towel to dry for a few minutes. Put the cranberries on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and place them in the freezer for about 3 or 4 hours. When they are frozen solid, put them into bags or freezer-safe containers and store them in the freezer until needed. The great thing about cranberries is they last a long time in the freezer. You can freeze them for up to a year and they still taste great. Frozen cranberries can be added to smoothies, too!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
