Our Mardi Gras Ice Ring is a one of a kind festive creation that will keep your punch bowl looking absolutely beautiful and delicious!

When you celebrate Mardi Gras this year we think it’s a pretty good idea to have our delicious Mardi Gras King Cake Soda Ice Ring keeping everything in the punch bowl nice and, well, chill!

For as long as I can remember Mardi Gras has remained a mysterious celebration. In my mind, Mardi Gras represents one big party, which involves lots of people festooned in colorful beads, and perhaps even donning festive masks. It is a party and the name of the game is to eat, drink, be merry! It’s a celebration. But now that I am older I have a better idea what all of the fuss is all about. I did a bit of research and I have discovered the origins of this month long affair.

According to historians, Mardi Gras has roots in ancient Rome and associated with a celebration known as Lupercalia. Little has changed over the ages accept now Mardi Gras is typically associated with New Orleans, and a lot of the popular traditions associated with modern Mardi Gras originated in the Cresent City.

Mardi Gras is known as a month long celebration in anticipation of Lent. Commonly, though most folks are more familiar with the culmination of festivities during the last five days of February.

King Cake Soda has the flavors of vanilla glaze and cinnamon. It is also quite sweet. You could try a vanilla soda and a pinch or two of cinnamon.

Thanks! Do the candy pieces actually stick to the fruit? Or float off?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
