I picked a huge zucchini yesterday. I wish I had time to make zucchini pancakes. Instead, I’m shredding it and adding it to my freezer stash for my fall baking.

This week thanks to {Listable Life} I’m sharing my 5 favorite dessert recipes. I’m dying to make #5, but I have to wait until September for the next birthday. Oh, well.

I love family recipes! Recipes from family and friends always bring me joy. I always think fondly of the person and the good times together when I am using a family or friend’s recipe.

Today I have shared with you two very refreshing summer smoothies that will quench your thirst and fill you up. This Peach and Orange Juice Smoothie tastes so smooth with an orange juice base and this Sun Dream Orange and Banana Smoothie is my favourite summer smoothie that I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve tried a lot) I actually crave this smoothie all the time. It’s a firm favourite with everyone who tries it.
They both contain seasonal ingredients that you should have no trouble getting hold of.Thank you so much for hosting.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
