Black Friday Sales Tip - Shop Online on Thanksgiving

Now that you know how to properly combine coupons with a sale, any savvy shopper is EXCITED for Black Friday Sales. However, don’t let the hype get to you and your pocketbook. Instead, know the Black Friday Shopping Tips and get ahead of the game!

First things first, when shopping for Black Friday deals don’t always assume the first Black Friday deal is going to be the best price. You’ll want to compare prices as ads are coming out and being organized will help you to do this. Create a list of everything you are looking to purchase and take note not only of the price, but, the store as well!

Secondly, if you must head to the stores pick up the big ticket items. You can expect to see huge discounts on washer/dryer sets, televisions, tablets, Apple products, cameras and video game systems. But there’s no reason to fight the crowds to save $2 on a toy or $3 on a movie when you can purchase these items online Thanksgiving Day!

That’s right folks, Thanksgiving Day is really when the retailers begin to offer their best deals! Many Americans are to busy cooking their birds and fabulous sides that they don’t know online retailers like Walmart, Target, Amazon and Best Buy  begin their sales first thing Thanksgiving morning. So if a toy, video game bundles, pj sets, picture frames or cooking essentials are on your shopping list you’ll want to stay at home with your cup of coffee and place your orders online!

If you plan on shopping online you can earn cash back. This is one of my favorite parts about Black Friday. Last year I was able to receive almost $50 in Cash Back from Ebates.com. I did A LOT of online shopping and it paid at the beginning of the year when I unexpectedly received my check in the mail!

So what is your Black Friday game plan? Do you tend to mingle with the crowds or prefer to stay home with the family and shop online?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
