1. Soothe sore muscles.

Soak a washcloth in a cup of ginger tea. Apply it to painful muscles and joints for 15 minutes at a time. Repeat until relief is felt.

2. Soothe a sore stomach.

Add a teaspoon of ground ginger to a cup of lemon juice and sip. It can help with indigestion and other minor stomach ailments.

3. Boost your desserts.

Add a tablespoon of ground ginger to your jello and pudding mixtures. It will add some extra flavor as well as health benefits.

4. Make your own ginger bath salts.

Add a tablespoon of ground ginger to a cup of sea salt. Add in a few drops of essential oil of your choice. When in the tub, take a handful and massage it into your skin. Rinse and feel the difference it can make to your mood and relaxation.

5. Make your own ginger ale spritzer.

Combine a cup of ginger tea to 8 ounces of carbonated water for your own ginger ale beverage. You can even add honey to sweeten it up.

6. Soothe sore feet.

Fill a foot bath with warm water, a cup of sea salt, and a ½ cup of ground ginger. It will help improve circulation as well as relieve pain. Repeat this process as often as needed to help with pain.

7. Banish motion sickness.

Soothe motion sickness by chewing on ginger candy or even taking encapsulated ginger. You can find these at most helath food stores at a reasonable price.

8. Soothe a sore throat.

Try a spoonful of mixed honey and ground ginger to help banish a sore throat or cold symptoms. Repeat as needed to help soothe pain naturally.

9. Alleviate gum pain.

Get rid of gum pain when you apply ground ginger directly to the site of pain. Just apply some to a finger tip and press.

10. Spice up savory dishes.

Ginger can help bring out the natural flavors in savory dishes. Try adding a teaspoon of ground ginger to your soups, sauces, and marinades to see if you like the flavor boost.
