10 DIY Patriotic Decor Ideas

There is something so wonderful about the colors of the American flag. Of course what it stands for is amazing, but I love the crisp look of it when it is added to a home.  It just says, “Summer is here!” to me. Looking at the flag and the colors of it just remind me of what the men and women who fight for our freedom really sacrifice. Let’s look at 15 ways to add a little patriotism to your home décor.

10 DIY Patriotic Décor Ideas

This Uncle Sam Centerpiece from Crafts Unleashed would look amazing to add to any table for BBQs over the 4th of July.

If you are looking for something simple, Domestically Speaking has a great Patriotic Burlap Table Runner. It looks simple to do and a very nice and subtle way to add some rustic charm to your table.

For some country charm, try It All Started With Paint’s Red, White and Blue Mason Jars. These are perfect for storing silverware for picnics and BBQ’s or a nice flower bouquet.

I have recently developed a “thing” for apothecary jars. That’s why I am in love with this idea from Makoodle that uses beans to create this Patriotic Apothecary Jar Décor.

My Blessed Life has come up with some very cute and simple to do Patriotic Luminaries made from twine and fabric. Wouldn’t these look great lined up on a mantle or on the table for a night BBQ?

If you love glitter, Eighteen 25’s Glitter USA art will really tickle you. It is super easy and is a great way to show your patriotic spirit.

Monogram is still going strong in the realm of home decorating and this Monogrammed Patriotic Letter  from The Celebration Shoppe for your door is so cute!

I think this Betsy Ross Painted Chair from Atta Girl Says is so awesome! Wouldn’t it look great on a porch with some other Patriotic Décor?

Chevron prints are big these days and this simple 4th of July wall art from That’s What Che Said is perfect if you are loving this trend.  It only uses a couple supplies and doesn’t look like it takes too long to complete.

Chicken Scratch NY has a cute little Firecracker Centerpiece that looks very cute and Shabby Chic! It also looks simple to make and would make a great addition to your Patriotic Décor.

How do you show your patriotism in your décor?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
