10 Free Knit Sweater Patterns- Do you enjoy knitting your own clothes? This list features a variety of free knit sweater patterns for men, women, and kids.

After baby blankets and scarves, making a sweater is something every knitter should do. There is nothing like pulling a warm sweater over your head that you made or one that was given to you by a loved one who made it. The quality can’t be beat, either. Sweaters that are hand-knit last far longer than those from stores. If you are hoping to make a sweater, here are 10 Free Knit Sweater Patterns to get you started for men, women and children.

This Harvest Sweater is my kind of sweater. It is a cardigan, actually, and I am a cardigan hoarder. I must own at least 20 for all kinds of weather. I love this one from Tin Can Knits.

This summer and spring cover-up sweater from Knitty is called Petal and I think it’s great for the upcoming warmer seasons. It looks light enough to wear all year long!

Another great warm month sweater is this Peggy Sue Sweater from Wooly Mammoth Knits. It has a great vintage flair to it, doesn’t it?

I didn’t forget the men with this roundup! Here is a very nice Men’s Sweater Pattern called Limestone from Drop’s Design.

Cascade Yarns features a Summer Lace Wrap Cardigan that is very nice. I love this type of front on cardigans. Looks nice and light and is great for the office or even a chilly summer evening walk.

I can’t get over how cute this Snuffle Pullover Sweater from Red Heart Yarns is. When I was a kid, I would have loved this!

Everyone knows that mustaches are the thing now and what better way to show it on a sweater for a child? This epic Handlebar Sweater is from Willow Yarns.

If you are looking for the perfect Yoga Wrap sweater, then this one from Red Heart Yarns is what you may be looking for. It even features a pattern for matching leg warmers.

This Hoodie Sweater is so cool even teen and tween boys would like it! Check out the pattern for the Skull Hoodie Sweater on Yarn Inspirations.

The not so hidden hippie in me loves this Imagine Sweater from Knitty. What crunchy mama wouldn’t want a peace sign sweater?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
