Have you come into some wood pallets? Here are easy DIY Pallet projects to put them to use.

13 Easy DIY Pallet Projects- These 13 easy building tutorials use recycled pallets. Pallet wood is frugal and adds a nice weathered look to your projects.

Ever since I saw a bed on Pinterest made out of pallet boards, I have wanted to do some DIY projects. Unfortunately, I also have always lived in apartments so it doesn’t lend itself well to woodworking projects. However, some projects can be done with very little sawing and many pallet projects fit this bill. The great thing about pallet projects is that often times, the wood is weathered already and it is perfect for many home design looks you might be trying to achieve. Plus, it is perfect because the wood is being saved from the dump and waste. Here are 13 Easy DIY Pallet Projects for you to try making at home plus tips on how to get free pallets.

The easiest way to get free pallets is to look on sites like Craigslist or do it the old fashioned way and look for free stuff in the newspaper. Many times, you will find a lot in these two places. Additionally, you can check with local small businesses as they often have them for free because they don’t contract out to get rid of them. Places to look include local grocery stores and nurseries. Make sure to ask before taking no matter what, though. Not only is it stealing not to ask, but if you ask, you give yourself an opportunity to build a relationship and they may even set them aside just for you.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
