So now that you are selling on Etsy, you may be wondering what the masses are really looking for. Take a look below at the top items to sell on Etsy. Right now, these items seem to really be trending and bringing in good money. If you are feeling crafty or scouring a local thrift store, these are great items to keep in mind as offerings to your buyers.

7 Top Items to Sell on Etsy

1. Wedding décor and supplies/handmade and vintage. Brides love Etsy. I REPEAT…brides love Etsy! Centerpieces, hand tied bouquets, candle holders, bridesmaids gifts, and flower girl baskets are all great sellers. If you can create something for the bride, you are sure to find an audience.

2. Newlywed Gifts. Etsy has a great selection of newlywed gifts such as housewares, textiles, curtains, pillows, and other decorative pieces. If you can offer items that can be given to newlyweds, Etsy is the place to sell them.

3. Personalized gifts. If you have the knack for monogramming items, you will find buyers on Etsy. People love monograms, and placing them on purses, bags, pillows, clothing, and towels is always in demand. Create these gifts for your buyers, and they will flock to you.

4. Children’s clothing both handmade & vintage. Parents are falling in love with handmade and vintage children’s clothing. Offer a wide variety of sizes and you will get buyers! Find fun and vintage fabrics, or try for organic pieces. Parents are sure to love them.

5. Pet Supplies. Pet parents love Etsy for personalized pet bowls, organic toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more. Create gifts with pets in mind and pet parents will want to buy them.

6. Textile crafts/vintage fabrics. If you are gifted with a sewing machine, textile crafts are in huge demands. Custom made napkins, purses, burp cloths, bibs, and clothing are all popular. Stitch your own designs and they are sure to sell.

7. Handmade and vintage jewelry. If you love old jewelry or can craft your own, there is a huge market for it on Etsy. Sell your bracelets, rings, earrings, and more. Offer a wide variety to attract the most buyers. Pieces don’t have to be perfect, as many buyers are looking for parts and supplies for their own jewelry making.

I am researching finding a niche to open a shop on Etsy. I crochet every spare second I can. I LOVE making Crochet accessories like hair ties, kerchief, hats, summer and winter scarves, headbands, bone of which were on your top items to sell. Should I even bother?

Yes! If you are passionate about it it is worth a shot! People love crocheted goods especially people who are unable to crochet. Baby blankets are always a big thing! Go for it!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
