How to Find Deals on Craft Supplies- There are many easy ways to find great deals on craft supplies. Use these money-saving tips the next time you restock.

Ask any crafter and they’ll tell you that craft supplies can often be budget breaking. No matter what your chosen craft is, you can easily overspend if you’re not careful. Fortunately, there are several ways to find deals on craft supplies that are really easy to do. They will help cut your crafting costs down by quite a bit the next time you re-stock.

How to Find Deals on Craft Supplies

Use coupons – This might seem like a given, but did you know that the 3 major craft stores; Michaels, JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby all put out huge percent off coupons? Sometimes you can save as much as 50% off of your supplies.

Check yard sales – Yard sales are a fantastic place to find craft supplies. Often you’ll be able to find large lots of craft supplies from someone who started to craft and then stopped before they ever really got started. Use these sales to your advantage and save yourself big bucks.

Hit up the Dollar Tree – Believe it or not, your local Dollar Tree is a fantastic place to find deals on craft supplies! Each store carries different items, but a lot of them carry yarn, scrapbooking supplies, and more! If you don’t have a Dollar Tree in your town, check out DollarTree.com since they carry everything over there as well.

Shop after holiday sales – Christmas, Easter, and New Year’s all have awesome after holiday sales. Use these sales to pick up great deals on craft supplies to help you make it through the year without having to overspend.

Check with friends and family members – You might be surprised to find which of your friends used to craft and no longer do. Ask them if they have any supplies that they’re not planning on using. If they do, chances are they’ll make you a killer deal on them.

Crafting doesn’t have to bankrupt your bank account. If you keep in mind that you’re always looking for deals, you’ll be less likely to pay full price for anything and will grab the deals as you see them. Do you have any other tips for craft supplies deals? I’d love to hear them if so!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
