Packing beauty essentials is difficult when you have to fly. That’s why I have started bringing along Kleenex. It is versatile and even better, it doesn’t trigger any bag checks when going through security. Here are my travel beauty hacks using kleenex.

Travel Beauty Hacks Using Kleenex

When travelling, I can’t bring all my beauty products and accessories, so I use Kleenex to substitute for some of the items I can’t bring along. It is actually called Kleenex Facial Tissue which makes it ideal for using in your beauty routine. Kleenex Perfect Fit are small and compact and easily fits into your suitcase when you travel.

Use a Kleenex to blot lipstick, so you don’t leave a stain on glasses and cups. Place the edge of the Kleenex between your lips and close your lips. Repeat several times until you have removed the excess lipstick and are left with colored lips with a flat finish.

Use a Kleenex to prevent eye shadow from dusting your cheeks. Fold a Kleenex in half and place it under your eyes before you put on eye shadow to prevent the eye shadow from getting under your eyes or on your cheeks.

Use a Kleenex tissue to blot oily spots on your nose and forehead. Gently blot the oily spot and it won’t remove your makeup or powder.

Use Kleenex between toes when painting your toe nails to keep wet toe nails from touching. Yes, I realize it would be better to paint my nails before I leave and sometimes I do. But if I don’t have time, I remove my polish before I leave, so I don’t have to bring any nail polish remover. Then I bring a .5 ounce bottle of nail polish along in a double sealed baggy.

Use Kleenex to remove make up. Just fold a Kleenex in half, dip it into makeup remover, and gently wipe away your make up. I take along some of my makeup remover in a travel bottle placed inside a travel  bottle set.

Use Kleenex to clean make up brushes. Don’t wet the Kleenex, just wipe the brushes on the dry tissue to clean them.

Use Kleenex to remove built up mascara from the mascara wand. Do not wet the Kleenex. Just wrap the Kleenex around the wand and gently pull the Kleenex down the length of the wand.

Prevent hair dents. When you need to pull your hair away from your face with hair clips, put a Kleenex between your hair and the clip to prevent the clip from marring your hair.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
