How to Use Bay Oil- Bay Oil is an essential oil with a deep woodsy scent. Learn how it can help soothe various symptoms and fend off pests around your home.

Are you keen on clove oil? The deep and rich woodsy scent is loved by many! If clove oil is in your essential oil collection, bay essential oil may be another oil you want to consider. Bay oil smells quite similar to clove oil, offering a deep woodsy scent that is found in many homemade men’s bath products. If you think bay oil may be an essential oil you want to try, take a look below at How to Use Bay Oil. You will find that it not only smells terrific, but it is quite practical too. Here is what you need to know!

How to Use Bay Oil

Bay oil can help with some common ailments and help soothe certain symptoms you may be experiencing. Here is how to use bay oil on your body:

1. Add a few drops to your facial moisturizer to help soothe razor burns and bumps. This is a great trick for men to try since bay oil has a woodsy scent, but will work just as well for women too!
2. Bay oil can be added to your bath water to help soothe sore and aching muscles.
3. Try bay oil in your massage creams to help further relax the muscles and also offer aromatherapy benefits. You can even do your own mini massage using bay oil by applying it to your fingers and massaging it into your temples, head, and scalp.
4. Add a few drops of bay oil to your shampoo to help moisturize the scalp and prevent flaky skin. It pairs well with tea tree oil, which is also great for the hair and scalp.
5. Apply a dab of bay oil to break outs and acne to help quicken the healing process.
6. Rub a few drops of bay oil on the gums. It works as an antifungal and can also help keep gums strong and clean.
7. You will notice how relaxing the scent of bay oil is. Consider inhaling it to promote relaxation, or add a few drops to your daily body wash or body lotion.
8. Breathe easier when you use bay oil as a decongestant. You can diffuse it or inhale it from your palms to help yourself breathe easier.

Bay oil can also be beneficial when dealing with pests. Here are some ways bay oil can keep pests at bay and keep you bug and bite free!

1. Diffuse bay oil when on the patio to help keep mosquitoes away. Diffusing it during the summertime is also advised as it will help keep bugs outdoors where they belong instead of in.
2. Bay oil can help with keeping moths away. Add a few drops to a cotton ball and place the cotton in areas where moths are a problem.
3. Bay oil can be added to cotton balls and placed in other areas where critters might be crawling. You can mix some bay oil with peppermint oil and get a powerful potion against bugs, mice, and other pests. Add new drops of oil to the cotton balls every 10 days or so.

You can find bay essential oil at your local health food shop or via online stores. You will find that it mixes well with other woodsy scented oils such as clove, tea tree, patchouli, and eucalyptus. It is a great oil choice for men especially who want the benefits of essential oils without smelling like flowers or fruit.

Consider bay essential oil for your needs, and see if it doesn’t add to your own well being!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
