Recipe for Grilled Sweet N' Spicy Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers. These Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers are a delicious combination of sweet, salty, and spicy.

A great way to spice up the traditional grill fare of hamburgers and hot dogs is to throw on some skewers. These Sweet N’ Spicy Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers are a delicious combination of sweet, salty, and spicy.  A fresh new choice for your next family barbecue, cook out , or summer gathering- they are ideal as an appetizer or as a main dish served along with sides.

You can even make these bacon wrapped skewers up the night before, wrap tightly, place in fridge, and remove when ready to grill for minimal work.  I love anything that makes prep easier and gives me more time with my guests.

Grilling Tip: To keep your skewers from becoming singed, soak them in water for a couple hours before using.

Remember to wash your hands before, during, and after  prep when working with raw chicken.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
