These Oreo & White Chocolate Covered Apples are a great addition to your holiday treats table. They are easy to make, delicious for everyone to enjoy, and of course they display beautifully.

Do you love Oreos?  If so, then this fun and easy recipe for Oreo & White Chocolate Coated Apples is going to blow your mind.  How can you make an Oreo cookie healthy?  By adding it to an apple of course!  This is a fun recipe that will please everyone in your family including the kids and mom!

Oreo & White Chocolate Coated Apples

One of my favorite parts of making these Oreo & White Chocolate coated apples is crushing the cookies.  You can buy Oreo cooking crumbs, but where is the fun in that?  Grab a large Ziploc bag and have fun pounding away at the cookies to create fun bits of crumbs to stick to the chocolate on the apple!

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 ounces white chocolate (we used Ghiradelli white chocolate bars)
  • 2 Apples (whatever kind you prefer)
  • 1 Cup Crushed Oreos
  • 1/4-1/2 Cup Milk

Supplies:

  • 2 Popsicle Sticks
  • Wax Paper

Oreo & White Chocolate Coated Apples ingredients

Directions:

  1. Rinse and dry the apples, remove the stem, and insert a Popsicle stick.
  2. In a medium size sauce pot melt chocolate bars over medium heat. Stir 1/8-1/4 cup milk in gradually. Only add enough milk to encourage melting.  You may not need to use the entire amount.
  3. When the white chocolate is melted hold onto the Popsicle stick and dip apples into the chocolate. Place dipped apples on the wax paper. Use enough wax paper to accommodate two apples.
  4. Next, sprinkle crushed Oreos all over apples.
  5. Place apples into a refrigerator to cool for about 10 – 15 minutes.

These Oreo & White Chocolate Coated Apples are a great addition to your holiday treats table.  They are easy to make, delicious for everyone to enjoy, and of course they display beautifully.  Whether you are serving as a special dessert, or a fun treat at a kids class party they will be a huge hit!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
