2015 Downtown Reno Ice Rink Skating Schedule & Events

2015/2016 Downtown Reno Ice Rink Skating Schedule & Events- The Downtown Reno Ice Rink will be open soon. Bundle up and check out the opening day events!

Are you ready to hit the ice for some ice skating? Time is nearly here to put on some warm clothes and head to downtown Reno for some fun on the ice. The Downtown Reno Ice Rink at Aces Ballpark will soon be open for the season! Check out the  special activities offered on opening day, as well as regular admission hours and prices throughout the season.

2015/2016 Downtown Reno Ice Rink Skating Schedule & Events

Ice skating will run this season from from November 24, 2015 through February 14, 2016, weather and ice conditions permitting.

Opening day is November 24th, and the ice rink will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Opening day special events include:

  • First 250 people receive a free skate rental voucher for a future Monday-Thursday skate session.
  • First 250 people also receive a free hot chocolate and churro.
  • An appearance by Santa Claus
  • Performances by national competitors including Evan Bender, Christine Hotchkin, and skaters from the Tahoe Figure Skating Club.

Ice Rink Admission Prices:

$8 for teens and adults, ages 13 to 54
$6 for children, ages 3 to 12
$6 for seniors, age 55 and up

Skate rental is an additional $3 per person. The group rate for groups of 20 or more is $8 per person per session, skate rental included. There are special rates for K-12 field trips of 20 students or more. You can also have birthday parties (10 or more) at the ice rink. Any of these options must reserve two weeks in advance by contacting Liz Bell at [email protected] or (775) 334-7011.

10-Visit Punch Pass (admission only)

$60 for teens and adults, ages 13 to 54
$40 for children, ages 3 to 12
$40 for seniors, age 55 and up

10-Visit Punch Pass (including skate rental).

$75 for teens and adults, ages 13 to 54
$55 for children, ages 3 to 12
$55 for seniors, age 55 and up

Reno Ice Skating Rink Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday Sessions

10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
3:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
7:10 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday Sessions

10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday Sessions

10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
3:45 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Holiday Sessions (November 26-27, December 18 – January 10)

10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
3 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
