Looking for DIY Halloween Costumes for men? Here are 10 awesome, funny and unique ones you can do right at home, some of them very last minute!

When it comes to making costumes for men, there areso many great options out there! There are so many recognizable male actors or TV show characters that the possibilities are pretty much endless. Some costumes even get funnier when a man dresses up as a female TV character! H0wever, If you want to go as something truly unique, here are 10 DIY Halloween Costumes for Men that haven’t been over-done.

10 DIY HalloweenCostumes for Men

Why not go as Bob Ross (the famous TV painter)? This awesome costume would even go great as a couple costume if your wife or girlfriend went as the Happy Little Tree! Check out this DIY from C.R.A.F.T.

Who doesn’t like the movie Home Alone? This awesome “Wet Bandits” costume idea from Costume Works is great, especially if you are going out with one of the guys. There are no real “instructions” on this one, but it’s pretty self explanatory.

Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you can’t play with your favorite childhood toys! Go as a Lego Man with this awesome tutorial from Instructables.

Do you remember the cartoon, “Inspector Gadget”? This is a perfect tutorial from Persia Lou on how to make your own simple Inspector Gadget Costume.

If you happen to have the parts of this one, you can make a Fully Functional Nikon Camera Costume with these detailed instructions from Member Tylercard on Instructables. I am sure you could skip the function part of it and still have a pretty awesome costume!

Go as a “Contestant’s Row” Contestant on the Price is Right! with this cool and easy costume from B-Side Blog. It looks like it would make a great last minute costume and doesn’t seem to be a very expensive costume to put together, either!

Instructables Member Davidandora has a great costume idea for any of us that love music! I have never seen anything like it! Do this Composer Bust Statue Costume and you are sure to have the most unique costume at the party!

While the caveman has been done quite a bit, I do love that this one include not only instructions for one person or gender, but for the whole family and each one ends in a well covered body (something critical for those of us that live in the North!) Make this Men’s Caveman Costume from Andrea’s Notebook!

If you find yourself good in the shop and with lots of time on your hands, make this Halloween Samurai costume from Flickr User Kutzutech. He even shows you how to do it in the series of photos using simple household stuff! This one is really awesome!

In the 10 DIY Costumes for Women post I did, I talked about this Mary Poppins costume from Keiko Lynn. She also has instructions for a Bert chimney Sweep Costume as well! I think it would go well alone or with YOUR Mary Poppins.

What are some of the DIY halloween costumes for men that you have done in the past?

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
