10 free girls halloween costume patterns

I had a great time looking through free girl’s Halloween Costume patterns for this post! There are so many to choose from! When I was little, my mom made most of my costumes and I was always so excited to see what she would come up with. A homemade costume is so fun because no one else has it. It is unique and special and you know that you have a one of a kind piece. Here are 10 free girl’s Halloween costume patterns to inspire you to make one for your little girl this year.

10 Free Halloween Costume Patterns for Girls

This Light Up Princess Dress from So Sew Easy is one of the best I have ever seen! Not only is it great because it is so unique (what other little girl will have a light up dress?!), but it is amazing for safety’s sake as well! It makes your little princess easy to see in the dark!

I love costumes that have not really been done very much! This Morton Salt Girl costume from Simple Simon & Company is just so awesome!

Living the Creative Life has a super cute Sparkly Mermaid Tail tutorial that is perfect for not only Halloween, but also pretend play afterwards!

If Disney Princesses are you little’s one’s thing, this Belle Princess Dress from Homemade Toast is perfect for your little royal one.

Who remembers Pippi Longstocking? This perfect smock dress for a Pippi Longstocking costume from Muffins and More really sets your daughter up for a cute look on Halloween! Now all you need is some funky socks and the classic red pigtails!

The classic Lil Angel Costume is perfect for any little girl! This one from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom and she used a white sheet to make it! How cool is that?

Craftiness is Not Optional has an awesome Rainbow Dash My Little Pony Costume that doubles as a warm outfit. This is perfect for those that live in cooler environments by the time Halloween comes around!

If your kiddo is hoping to be a fairy or Tinkerbell this year, why not make these awesome Fairy Wings from The Cottage Mama? They will be nice and durable and last into pretend play for years!

For another winged costume, make this very nice and “functional” Butterfly wings Cape from Ikatbag. Just throw on some solid colors under it and you have a full costume with wings that your child can even move!

If you are looking for something that can be made quick and in a flash, this Owl Costume from Alpha Mom is just what you are looking for!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
