1. Ginger oil.
Just like some people like to chew on dried or candied ginger when they have an upset stomach, ginger oil can work the same way. Ginger oil can be applied to the area where soreness or upset is occurring, or it can be diffused into your space. Ginger has been used for centuries to settle tummies, so why not give it a try?
2. Peppermint oil.
Is there anything peppermint oil can’t do? Apply some peppermint oil to the pulse points, diffuse, or inhale anytime upset tummy occurs. Peppermint oil can help soothe inflammation, pain, and settle an upset stomach especially if it is a result of overeating! Feeling nauseated? Just the scent of peppermint oil may be able to soothe you.
3. Wintergreen oil.
Wintergreen oil is another mint oil that works wonders at settling an upset stomach. Inhale, diffuse, or massage the oil onto the areas of concern. Wintergreen oil is great to keep on hand at work, as it can not only help with upset tummy but increase alertness at the same time. That upset tummy won’t hold you down again!
4. Spearmint oil.

5. Lavender oil.
While lavender oil may not do much for stomach pain or discomfort, it can help with nausea. Inhale, diffuse, or apply a few drops to pulse points or the back of the neck if your stomach troubles are leaving you a little queasy! It should help you feel more relaxed, at ease, and less nauseated. It is especially effective when used at night if stomach troubles are keeping you awake.
6. Cinnamon oil.
Cinnamon oil can be effective at killing any viruses that may be leading to your discomfort. Take cinnamon oil in capsule form since it is quite potent, or apply it to the soles of your feet at night. This can help soothe the upset if it is a result of a virus wreaking havoc.
7. Oregano oil.
Oregano oil is the champ when it comes to antiviral and antibacterial properties. Many prefer to take it in capsule form, or like cinnamon oil you can rub it on the soles of your feet. Thanks for this tip. I’ve been having stomach problems for about two weeks and sometimes more medication makes it worse. So I got peppermint and wintergreen with me so I’ll use that. Thanks again
