DIY Rustic Mason Jar Makeup Brush Holder- Add rustic charm to your bathroom with this farmhouse style makeup brush holder. It's easy to make and keep clean.

I am a big fan of anything rustic or farmhouse style in home decor. This goes for main living areas like the living room and kitchen as well as small details in the bathroom.

Another thing I love is simple DIYs that can add great touches to your home and this DIY Rustic Mason Jar Makeup Brush Holder is perfect for adding to your decor. Makeup brushes can get ruined by just shoving them into a drawer, so having a makeup brush holder is a good idea and it provides easy access to them, too.

Materials:

  • Mason jar with lid ring
  • Chicken wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Make up brushes

Directions:
1. Begin by cutting a square of chicken wire to place over the top of the jar. What I like to do is cut a 3 by 3 inch square. Then, place it on top of the jar and trim around the mouth to fit.
2. Trim the wire so it covers the top of the jar but slightly overlaps the sides. Any overlapping wire can be gently folded over the side of the jar.

3. Place the ring over the mouth of the jar. Press it into place so it fits over the chicken wire and holds it in place. You will notice that you can’t screw the ring on. This is normal since the wire is obstructing it. Instead, press it into place.
4. You can now add your make up brushes in the slots of the chicken wire to display them.

Wash the makeup brush holder by removing the ring, the wire, and cleaning the inside out with warm and soapy water. Make sure you also wash your makeup brushes on a regular basis!

Such a cute idea to add farmhouse style to the bathroom. It would work as a toothbrush holder also.

Katie this is such a cute idea – you know my makeup brushes are randomly thrown in a jar in my bathroom, in a drawer and shoved in my makeup bag 😉 Gotta get on this, thanks for sharing, found this at the Fabulous Party!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
