12 Free Knitting Patterns for Men- Check out this collection of free knit patterns for men including ties, sweaters, cup cozies, scarves, and more!

It’s pretty classic for anyone to knit something like a sweater or scarf for the men in their life. A homemade knitted sweater is something that will last for many seasons and looks very nice as well. But what if you are hoping to knit something more exciting, fun, or fresh? It is easy to find patterns to do this when your audience is babies, women, or kids, but with men it can seem almost impossible to find good patterns to work with, especially free ones! If you are hoping to get started on a new project soon, here are 12 Free Knitting Patterns for Men that aren’t just sweaters and scarves. Although, I did include some amazing patterns for those in here as well!

The Gentleman’s Bowtie from Amy B Stitched via Ravely is a great piece to make for the man that has everything. I bet he doesn’t have this!

For Big Lebowski fans, this “I’m the Dude” Jacket from Yarnspirations is simply awesome.

I absolutely love the idea of these Knitted Ties from PomPom. They look really modern and unique!

These Pub Crawl Cowls from Knitty are perfect for the man who likes tohang out at the beer tastings in the winter!

Another great pattern from Knitty is this Harrison Hat. It’s a winter hat with ear flaps and guitars in the pattern!

An alternative to making a whole sweater is this Par Vest For Him from Red Heart Yarns.

If your man can’t sport a beard but occasionally wants one, why not make this fun Bearded Toque for him from Giftable Designs?

This Boyfriend Scarf from Sew Wrong is very classy and would look great dressed down or dressed up.

I love this Skull Hat from Gina Davidson via Ravelry. It’s perfect for young men, too.

These Non-Felted Slippers from Yuko Nakamura via Ravelry keep toes warm on cool nights.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
