Why You Should Date Your Husband- Not only are dates fun, they can help strengthen your relationship. Here are a few great reasons to date your husband.

When it comes to dating many of us think of it as a way to get to know our future spouse. After all, how can you find the right person to marry without getting to know them a bit? One thing we often overlook is how much we change over time. Your husband is changing too, and it can be hard to keep up even when you live in the same home. You have work, family, the home to care for, and very little time left over to just sit and chat with your husband. When we lack that connection we can grow apart.

Dating your husband brings you closer together. You get to keep in touch and keep your relationship strong. When you take time just for each other you show where your priorities are. By putting your marriage first you ensure your husband feels loved and your children feel secure in knowing that their parents have a strong relationship. Here are a few more great reasons Why You Should Date Your Husband.

Why You Should Date Your Husband

Getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life is good for the both of you. Whether it’s watching a movie after the kids go to bed or going out to dinner, taking a break helps keep you grounded, reduce stress, and enjoy some quiet time.

Dating your husband makes the perfect guilt-free self care. When you plan a night out with your husband, odds are you’re going to do a little pampering to get ready. Do your hair, maybe get a new outfit, or pull one out you haven’t worn in awhile. A date is the perfect reason to spend a little time on yourself. When we spend time on ourselves we feel great and it puts us in a great mood. Which is a good thing when it comes to spending the night with your husband.

When you date your husband something magical happens. He’s no longer someone you share a home and family with. He’s a guy you want to spend a bit of time with. You reconnect and get back to that new relationship feeling. You get to have a little bit of fun and try new things together. Life stays exciting and when it’s time to go back to the rest of your life, you can jump back in feeling refreshed and maybe a tad bit flirty.

Every marriage has struggles. Will dating your husband solve them all? No, it won’t. It will make things a little more fun and open the doors to working through life’s challenges as a couple.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
