Caramel Apple Rice Krispies Treats Recipe

These Caramel Apple Rice Krispie Treats are a delicious fall dessert. This is also quick and easy no-bake fall recipe.

Caramel Apple Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

These caramel apple rice Krispie treats are sure to be a hit with family and friends. These Rice Krispie Treats contain real dried apple pieces mixed into the Rice Krispie treats. Then the treats are topped with melted caramel creating a fun and delicious fall dessert that is perfect for parties or a special afterschool snack.

Caramel Apple Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

Ingredients: 
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies or off-brand crisped rice cereal
  • 5 ounces of mini marshmallows (about half of a 10 oz bag)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cut into 1 tbsp. chunks
  • 1/2 cup apple chips, broken into small pieces
  • 12 caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
  1. Line an 8×8 baking dish with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Heat the mini marshmallows and butter in a medium saucepan on medium-low heat.
  3. Once the marshmallow and butter begin to melt, add in the 1/2 cup of apple chips.
  4. Allow the marshmallows to melt about 3/4 of the way and then fold in the Rice Krispies cereal.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down with the back of a spoon and set aside.
  6. In a medium saucepan allow the 12 caramels, butter, and sweetened condensed milk to melt while stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the mixture has melted drizzle over the top of the Rice Krispie Treats and allow the caramel to set.
  8. Cut the Rice Krispie Treats into 9 squares.
*Don’t let the marshmallows melt completely as this will lead to hard Rice Krispie treats
