I gotta’ tell ya’, this Grapefruit and Pomegranate Punch with Rosemary recipe is very refreshing and goes very well with food. The citrus of the grapefruit goes well with the apple cider and lemonade. But the addition of the fresh rosemary makes this punch shine like nobodies business. And although the whole cranberries do nothing for the taste they do add a punch of color which makes this punch stand out and get noticed.

This Grapefruit and Pomegranate Punch with Rosemary is a perfect recipe for the holidays. It's easy the throw together and chill until served.

Say yes to the perfect holiday drink with our Grapefruit and Pomegranate Punch with Rosemary. Not only is it a sight for sore eyes, but it tastes like holiday cheer! And if you don’t care for grapefruit then substitute them for oranges. Add pomegranate seeds, whole cranberries, and fresh sprigs of rosemary and it’s a done deal. With this recipe, I used apple cider and a lemonade mix for the base then added the fresh fruit to make something your guests will not forget.

Psst! I’m thinking your guests may even ask you for the recipe.

Grapefruit and Pomegranate Punch with Rosemary

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup lemonade mix
  • 1 large ruby red grapefruit
  • 1/2 cup whole cranberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 4 – 6 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 64 ounces apple cider

Directions:

  1. Into a large punch bowl dissolve lemonade mix into apple cider.
  2. Add fresh lemon juice and continue to stir.
  3. Stir in ice.
  4. Very gently arrange thinly sliced grapefruit on top of the ice and garnish with pomegranate seeds and sprigs of fresh rosemary. I used a mandolin to produce the thin and precise cuts of citrus fruit to go into the punch bowl. Grapefruit and Pomegranate Punch with Rosemary- sliced grapefruit
  5. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

Isn’t this a beautiful looking punch? All of the colors work so well together. I love the way the deep pink of the grapefruit, the bright red of the pomegranate, and the fresh green of the rosemary contrast wonderfully with the subdued color of the mix of the lemonade and honey crisp apple cider.

I am not familiar with lemonade mix. I assume this is a powered mix that is purchased and cannot be made at home. I have not been able to find a list of ingredients on line.
