Green and gold candy melts make this St. Patrick’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe a festive way to celebrate the wearing o’ the green!

To make this St. Patrick’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe, melt Rolos on top of pretzels, top with pecans, drizzled candy melts and shamrock sprinkles.

If you love pecan turtles you are really going to enjoy this St. Patrick’s Day Pretzel Turtles Recipe. Its a twist on a classic favorite, all dressed up for St. Patricks Day! You melt Rolos on top of pretzel twists, then top with pecans and drizzle with candy melts and add shamrock sprinkles.

This recipe is easy enough that the kids can join in on the fun of making them for their class, the family, or a treat for someone special.

St. Patrick’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe

Makes approximately 35 pretzel turtles.

Ingredients:

  • 35 (approximately) small pretzel twists
  • 35 (approximately) pecan halves, lightly toasted and salted
  • 1 (8 ounces) package Rolo Unwrapped Caramel Candies
  • Green candy melts
  • Yellow Candy Melts
  • Wilton Shamrock Sprinkles (Available at Michaels)
  • Wilton Gold Coin Sprinkles (Available at Michaels)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzels in a single layer on baking sheet.pretzels on waxed paper
  3. On top of each pretzel, place a Rolo candy.
  4. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until candies are soft but not melted. Remove from the oven.
  5. Immediately press one pecan half down on top of each Rolo candy, pressing the candy through the pretzel. Allow pretzel turtles to cool completely on the baking sheet.pressing pecan into pretzel turtle
  6. After cooling, remove pretzel turtles to a wire rack.
  7. Melt candy coating in individual bowls according to package directions. One color at a time, drizzle candy coating over pretzel turtles.
  8. Immediately add sprinkles. Allow them to set before storing. To speed the setting process, place turtle pretzels in the refrigerator.
