If you love traditional Turtles you are going to love this Valentine’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe.  The sweet and salty combination make for an amazing Valentine’s Day treat! This dessert has the traditional flavors you love in turtles such as chocolate, caramel, and pecans. However, we have added a few alterations to make it more special for the holiday.  These Rolo pretzel turtles are a great homemade treat for friends, family, and, coworkers this Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles Recipe

These quick and easy Valentine’s Day Rolo Pretzel Turtles make a fun treat for Valentine’s Day party. Place them in a mason jar with a gift tag or in a Valentine box for a lovely and delicious food gift!

Ingredients:

  • 35 (approximately) small pretzel twists
  • 35 (approximately) pecan halves, lightly toasted and salted
  • 1 (8 ounces) package Rolo Unwrapped Caramel Candies
  • Bright Pink candy melts
  • Red candy melts
  • Valentine’s Day sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet. On top of each pretzel, place a Rolo candy.homemade turtle recipePin it button
  3. Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until candies are soft but not melted. Remove from oven.
  4. Immediately press one pecan half down on top of each Rolo candy, pressing the candy through the pretzel. Allow pretzel turtles to cool completely on the baking sheet.caramel pecan turtles recipePin it button
  5. After cooling, remove pretzel turtles to a wire rack.
  6. Melt candy coating in individual bowls according to package directions. One color at a time, drizzle candy coating over pretzel turtles. Immediately add sprinkles. Allow to set before storing. To speed the setting process, place turtle pretzels in the refrigerator.Pin it button

 

Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Makes approximately 35 pretzel turtles.
