10 Frugal Uses for Binder Clips- Binder clips are inexpensive and easy to find in stores. Give these 10 uses a try to make your life more efficient.

Binder clips are inexpensive and easy to find at your local retail store. Sure they are great for keeping your important papers organized, but did you know they are also great for so much more? Take a peek at these 10 Frugal Uses for Binder Clips that are sure to make your life easier and more efficient.

10 Frugal Uses for Binder Clips

1. Money Clip
Keep your bills in one place when you clip them together with a binder clip. This is especially fun for kids to do and makes them feel a tad grown up. For extra fun, spray paint your binder clip first for a fun pop of color.

2. Razor Cover
Avoid cuts when you use a binder clip as a razor cover. This is an especially great tip to use when traveling. All you need to do is clip the binder clip over the blade so it is protected. No more cuts or injuries again!

3. Cable Organizer
Forget tangled and messy cords. Instead, clip a few binder clips onto the corner of your entertainment center. You can then run cords through the clips to keep them organized. Binder clips can also be used to keep cords from being tripping hazards, just clip to any surface that they will adhere to.

4. Sock Organizer
Avoid the pain of mismatch socks when you use binder clips to keep pairs together. Simply put matches together and clip them at the top. Wash as usual. When your wash is done, your socks will still be together and there will be no more lonely ones to worry about.

5. Grocery List Holder
Don’t worry about fumbling with your grocery list at the store. Instead, use a binder clip to attach it to the shopping cart. That way, it is right in front of your eyes and you are left with a free hand.

6. Wrapping Paper Organizer
Once wrapping paper starts to unravel, you can have a real mess on your hands. Instead, use a binder clip to clip the end of the paper to the roll. This will keep it in place, keep it neat, and you won’t have ripped or wrinkled paper that you need to toss out.

7. Toothpaste Clip
As your toothpaste starts to run out, roll the end of the tube and secure it in place with a binder clip. This will ensure that you get every drop of toothpaste you can out of the tube, thus giving you more bang for your buck.

8. Secure Christmas Lights
There is no need to use nails when trying to secure Christmas lights. Binder clips are great for attaching them to porches, awnings, and even indoors. Just clip to a sturdy surface and the lights are sure to stay in place.

9. Keep Tablecloths Secure
You can keep your tablecloth from blowing away or sliding when you use binder clips to secure it to the table. Just a clip on each side is all it takes to keep your meal from being ruined.

10. Tea Bag Holder
Don’t you hate it when you have to fish your tea bag out of your tea? Use a binder clip to secure the tea bag string to the side of your cup. It is an easy way to keep from having to fish around in your tea ever again.

So why not head to your local office supply or retail store and grab a bag of binder clips. They are a little item that is sure to leave a big impact!

Thanks for #3. It has saved me a lot of irritation when trying to find my Kindle cord. And I am going to try some of the rest.

To keep my milk always fresh, I attach a metal binder clip on the open milk bag. I squeeze the air out of the open bag in the milk container, turn the edge down and secure with a small metal paper clip. Try it if you haven’t already, and you will see the difference.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
