17 Fun Washi Tape Crafts including easy washi tape crafts, washi tape decor crafts and the answer to the question, "What is Washi Tape"?

Washi tape crafts are exploding right now. It’s no wonder since they are fun, colorful and make anything go from drab to fab in minutes. The fun part about washi tape projects is there are so many ways to buy washi tape now because many patterns have been released since it exploded onto the craft scene.

If you don’t know what Washi tape is, here’s a bit of information. It is originally from Japan, and is usually made of strong fibers that are more natural in origin such as bamboo. This means it is strong and perfect for crafting! It sort of feels like that tape you use for packing at the post office without the little strings in it. The adhesive in it is good, but not as strong as duct tape, so if you make a mistake, you can remove it and try again, easily.

Washi tape can brighten up your gift-wrapping and scrapbooking projects, but it also looks great in various crafts and DIY’s, too!

If you are a big fan of washi tape, check out these 17 fun washi tape crafts to inspire you to get creative with it!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
