5 Healthy Habits for Life- Healthy habits are what you need to have amazing overall health. Here are 5 habits for a more organized and healthier life.

When it comes to living a healthier life, the first things people turn to is diet and exercise. These two are the easiest changes you can make to lose weight, feel fit, and achieve overall healthiness. Another important factor that people tend to overlook is to pick up healthy habits that you can start incorporating into their lives to start making a difference. Habits are things that you do consistently, everyday, without even thinking about it. Developing these healthy habits are what you need to have amazing overall health. Here are 5 Healthy habits for life.

5 Healthy Habits for Life

Be an Early Riser

It’s proven that people who wake up early have a better start to their day. Use this time to exercise, watch the sunrise, meditate or pray. Getting your day started with time for yourself before you begin a busy schedule gives you the confidence and strength you need to face the day and start making better choices throughout.

Keep Everything Neat and Organized

If you keep the clutter to a minimum and even wipe your kitchen counters, it is more likely that your days will be less stressful. Your home and your space would be used as a place to relax and unwind, instead of adding a marathon of cleaning to the list, it would be mostly done.

Drink More Water

We tend to forget how much water does for our bodies. We are made up of mostly water, and it’s what we need to hydrate, cleanse, and keep us going. Water is not only the perfect drink but also does wonders for your skin, hair, and overall appearance. To help you get more water in your diet, try to carry a water bottle with you so you are not tempted to buy sugary drinks when thirst strikes when you are not home.

Plan Your Day

Whether it’s a schedule or just goals you want to hit, planning your day the night before and knowing how your day will basically go will keep you motivated and stress-free. Write a simple list of what you want to accomplish during the day to keep you on track and motivated. You can also use the many apps available on phones to keep you on task and tackle a to-do list.

Keep Your Brain Busy

In our busy days of social media and many different types of screens from tablets to phones, we tend to get into this rhythm of mindlessly starting. Don’t forget to take some time to work your brain by doing puzzles, playing games, and taking the time to read a novel. Using your brain this way keeps it sharp and it also can lead to better moods.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
