With the return of spring also comes the nicer weather. But, taking advantage of it doesn’t mean you have to spend a ton of money on dates with your significant other! Here are 7 Fun and Free Spring Dates that allow you to take in the great aspects of spring together without spending a dime.

Play frisbee or fly a kite in the park: Head to your local park and unleash the kid in you! Play Frisbee or toss a ball. Get some friends together and put on a game of football. Break out the kites and fly kites at the park or even on the beach! Even just sitting on a bench and people watching is a great way to take everything in.
Walk through the botanical gardens: Many botanical gardens are opening for the season and will offer a free sneak peak day as everything is getting ready to blossom. If you have the money get a membership and you will be able to go back whenever you want.
Enjoy the sights and sounds at a farmers market: You can meet some great people and check out the local produce. Many farmers markets now have arts and crafts. There is so much to see and do even if you just ‘window shop.’
Picnic in the park: Take a picnic lunch to the park and people watch. The meal doesn’t have to be anything fancy; it can even be the classic peanut butter and jelly but just getting out and enjoying the weather is what it’s all about.
Drive to another town and walk the streets: Play tourist for the day. Drive to another town you haven’t been to in a long time and just walk the shops downtown. Again you can enjoy window shopping and you might even get lucky and be able to take in some great music on the street corner.
Have a rainy day Netflix marathon: With spring comes the spring rains. It can really dampen and outdoor plans but now is the time to embrace it and sit in for a Netflix marathon. Pop some popcorn bring the snacks and junk food and take a day snuggling on the couch. Make sure it’s a give and take watch one of something you like and one of something your significant other would like.
Go hiking: Visit a local state park and go hiking. You can find some of the most beautiful scenery this way. It’s also another great way to plan a picnic. Hike up to a spot with a great view, have a picnic, then hike back down and burn off the calories.
