These Chocolate Leaves are inspired by the beautiful colors of fall. They are the perfect treat to accent cupcakes and cookies this autumn.

I am so excited that autumn is just around the corner. I am not a person that enjoys the extreme temperatures of the summer or winter, but fall suits me just fine. There is nothing quite like crisp fall mornings with the beauty that mother nature has to offer in the changing of the leaves, either! There are so many colors to behold and it’s no wonder they are perfect for doing any sort of fall decorating or baking. These Autumn Inspired Chocolate Leaves are perfect to make for giving as a gift by themselves in a pretty little box or to use as accents on cupcakes and other baked goods.

The best part is, they don’t require any special skills and you can make them in just under an hour.

These are pretty. They almost look like pieces of toys instead of chocolates to eat.

Thank you for sharing this with us on the #HomeMattersParty. We hope you’ll come back again next Friday when we open our doors again at 12 AM EST.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
